Jennifer:
How did GD2000 get started?
Ivan: "Ground Designs 2000 got introduced
to the industry by my sister which is part owner of "Carisma Automobil
Tecnik". Everything started in the garage when I came out with the first design called the
"Street Fyghter" and at that time I was only supplying Carisma. The Birth
of the "Black Widow" at the "Import Auto Salon" at Pamona March
1999, that's when we started the shop in the city of Alhambra CA."
Jennifer: What's the future of GD2000 going to be like?
Ivan: "We have a lot in store for the future, and it's
going to be off the hook."
Jennifer: What's so special about your designs?
Ivan: "We try to be different and original.
Our fittings, we try to make as perfect as possible. We try to keep our product high end and not
just another body kit on the market. In addition, we are not scared to go
places where other companies don't go."
Jennifer: Do
you have anything up your sleeves for the near future?
Ivan: "A lot of designs and at the moment were keeping them
TOP SECRET."
Jennifer: A few of
Purehonda.com's members indicate that GD2000 lacks kits for older model
Hondas/Acuras like 90 - 93 Integra's for example. What plans do you have to address this?
Ivan: "We will be having kits for the 90-93 Integra and 90-93 Accord in
the middle of summer or maybe later but at the moment we have so many orders
with all the other applications and our business is growing so rapidly we can
barely keep up with it all."
Jennifer: What
would you like to say to the Honda enthusiasts about your designs?
Ivan: "We take pride in the quality and fittings of our designs.
We also want our customers to realize that the extra effort that goes into manufacturing
our products, means that they get their dollars worth and a top quality product
that will take a lot of wear and tear.
We have customers that come to our store and immediately notice the difference
of quality with our products."
"The one good thing is
when people buy from us we also give our customers Ground Designs 2000 Licence plate
holders, chrome emblems, windshield banners, decals and all the mesh grill already
attached"
