SAM: All of our Headers our designed and
built on the actual cars, but before we start any building we thoroughly
research the specifics of each model we intend to build from the vehicle
manufacturer. This allows us to tune our headers to each application, and
achieve maximum gains across the whole power band.
Vince: Great! It really helps that a manufacturer takes all things into
consideration when designing a product. Too many companies seem to throw
things out to make a buck. Glad to see Hooker is dedicated to the Import
racer. What was the goal in designing the headers? The best on the market?
For racers? For street applications? Basically what did you guys have in
mind when going forward with them?
SAM: This is an easy question,....... To supply the Consumer (both street
and racer alike) with the Best performing Header available.
Vince: Does Hooker make the headers themselves?
SAM: Yes. Hooker headers are researched, designed, and manufactured
in-house allowing us to ensure that the finished product, is truly the
best it can possibly be.
Vince: Tell me some specifics about the headers: flange design, size of
tubing, why 4 into 1? How precise is the manufacturing process?
