I recommend using a primer before you paint the surface with the color you want. I usually use two light coats of any spray on primer
(I recommend Krylon). The thing to remember is the paint dries best in the sun on a warm day. I usually
don't paint unless its nice out. Once the items are primed its time to bring the color on. This is the most important part of the painting so pay attention.
You're
going to spray on three coats the first coat will be speckled with paint, the second coat will cover the item completely, and the third one is the one that will give you the glossy shine. Now remember between coats you wait at least half an hour. The best advice I can give you on the third coat to achieve a high gloss is to make enough passes with the rattle can to just barely make the paint begin to run, at that point stop and
don't touch the item let it harden for at least 2 hours in the sun before you handle it at all.
Once all of the parts are dry carefully reinstall them into your
Honda. If you chip any of them reinstalling them don't freak out, finish installing them and then spray a little bit of paint in the cap and use a toothpick as a brush to fill in the chipped areas. The pieces you painted will chip less with proper prep work.
Your done!

Don't attempt this if you're a novice at finish painting!
